Summary: HOW NOT TO HAVE YOUR HERITAGE ERASED BY SECULAR HUMANISTS --
Comment: The reviewer who anonymously calls himself "a reader in North Carolina" is precisely the type of person that this book helps us fight -- i.e. one who is trying to erase all ideals, symbols and historical facts pertaining to the Confederate States of America -- and, in a broader sense, Christianity itself. Ron Holland knows what he's talking about; says it with exquisite Southern elegance; and give we Southerners an edge on which to cling while the secular humanists (liberal atheists) try to destroy the decency and personal integrity for which the CSA and Christianty stands.

Summary: Childish and Unscholarly
Comment: What a [sad] piece of literature. This manual should be given out to every cult member in America. The Confederate movement is nothing more than a disgruntled group of purists who cannot work within the political system to effect change. Whoever heard of such nonsense? What is sad about the battle "flaggers" is that they would vote for a tax increase if they could save their flag. Why not put all this energy into effecting change into our government? It is more than about a flag and no one will take your grits. Plus, who wears their culture on the sleeve except those who wish to prostitute Southern culture and turn it into something that it is not. Did the Southern soldier need a survival manual? What a joke or a boob of a book. Don't waste your time. I did, so I could analyze the elementary thought patterns of these self-proclaimed Southron Nationalists.

Summary: Practical, Valuable Resource
Comment: Southerners may be slow to stir, we seldom back down from a fight. In recent years, good people from all over the Southland (and some outside of Dixie) have taken up the noble and difficult task of defending our symbols and heritage.
Ron Holland is one such person. An active member of several Southern heritage and political organisations, Ron has been at the forefront of the fight for Dixie for several years. Ron keeps thousands of Southerners abreast of Southern heritage issues via his Dixie Daily News web site and several Internet publications. "The Southern Heritage Survival Manual," in fact, began as one of those publications. Now available in print from Traveller Press, it continues to educate Southerners in the several ways in which they can defend those things about the South we hold dear against the ad hominem attacks of the politically correct reactionaries.
Holland's book has something for everyone. For the "flag wavers" among us, there are several practical and imaginative suggestions for how to publicly advance Southern symbols and heritage, such as writing a letter to the local newspaper or running for public office on a pro-South platform. But for those who would rather not draw too much attention to themselves, Holland's manual provides a myriad of methods to achieve the same ends in a low-key (but just as effective) manner.
Whether you are a fire-breathing Southern partisan or someone who prefers private, behind-the-scenes methods for supporting the Cause, this book has something for you. It is a welcomed addition to the struggle.
