Summary: The voice of experience?
Comment: Many books on this subject are borderline ripoffs, recycled from old military tech manuals, high school chemistry texts, and encyclopedia-type generic info of little practical value by authors who don't really seem to know what they're talking about. Usually directions given are either so imprecise as to be suicidal (considering the subject), or else so technical that only a chemistry professor could understand them. This book seems a lot better. Either the author knows what he's doing, or he's got me fooled. Without trying any of the recipies, I can't vouch for them, but they've got that "ring" of genuineness to them.

Summary: Big BOOM!!! (but with security)
Comment: WOW! I just received the 2nd Revised Edition and Uncle Fester made a miracle: changed the best into something better!!! Back when I was in the Army, I've served on my Country Special Forces. There, we learned a lot about potent explosives. Back on the civilian life, I've seen a lot of books that promised to teach everything about explosives. Well, to say the least, I spend a lot of money on nothing. Since I had first-hand experience, I can see the difference from the true to the false teachings. Only with this amazing book from Uncle Fester I found clear, complete, easy to undesrtand teachings on a very dangerous field. From my practical experience, I can say all his teachings work as good as promised. If you want the very best book on explosives manufacture, this is the only one to have. Don't take any chances. This book is a secure guide. Buy it.

Comment: It is well worth the time to study this text as long as you have a basic chemistry background. It sheds light on some very interesting ways to make your own explosives if needed.
