Comment: I have read other real estate books, but Property & Politics "No Problem" is by far the most informative, helpful and unique. Thompson shares a wealth of government planning experience with the reader and provides advice and guidance through a government system of rules and regulations affecting real estate. As a planner myself, with over 13 years of local government and private planning experience, I have had similar experiences to those referred to by Thompson, so I know how much people need this information and appreciate the benefits of this book. Thompson has covered all the major areas where government and real estate come together; topics such as zoning, building, community future growth plans and public hearings. The book is well written and concise, in language that is easy to understand. If you are looking to buy or build a house, develop property for any residential, commercial or industrial purposes, or if you're just making a trip to city hall or your county government offices, read this book first. I highly recommend it.
