Summary: Great hands-on introduction to woodlands for kids.
Comment: This activity book is a wonderful introduction to the woodlands for kids and parents, too. We were taking our kids into the woods, but didn't know quite what to do there. We bought this book, along with colored pencils and hand lenses at the nature center, and the kids had a great time following the activities. They drew pictures, wrote poems and stories, adopted a tree, became nature detectives, and lots and lots of other things. We took it along every time we visited the nature preserve, and before long our kids had created their own nature book, in full color. We highly recommend it!
