Summary: From the plumeria experts, another masterwork...
Comment: Having relied on The Handbook on Plumeria Culture for most of my
knowledge of the genus Plumeria, and having become a very successful grower of that exotic beauty in New England, I anxiously awaited the Eggenbergers' next major work. If anything, the Handbook on Oleanders might possibly even surpass the superb plumeria handbook in scope and beauty. The format is analogous, the photography is stunning, and the knowledge and experience contained within is priceless. If you love the oleander (a shrub with an ancient pedigree and one with which countless gardeners throughout the world share a spiritual connection), don't deny yourself the pleasure of reading and owning this beautiful work.

Summary: "Gardner friendly", comprehenisve introduction & history.
Comment: The Handbook On Oleanders is a thoroughly "gardener friendly" and comprehensive introduction to oleanders and traces history of their cultivation from the days of Pompeii down to the present. Richard and Mary Helen Eggenberger draw upon their many years of research and photography in India, Hawaii, Sri Lanka, the Caribbean, Mexico, and the United States to filled this superb reference guide with full-color photographs and extensive cultivation and cultural information, including the new free-flowering, dwarf hybrids which are ideal for an urban, suburban, or greenhouse container culture. Also highly recommended is Richard and Mary Helen Eggenberger's superb gardening reference and instruction guide, The Handbook On Plumeria Culture now in a thoroughly revised and expanded fourth edition.
