Summary: Just read the word comparison charts in this book!
Comment: In the last days many shall fall away. What does this mean to us? Well, you can't fall away unless you are already "there". I know this particular reference to Bible is speaking of a falling away from Jesus Christ, but it has many more implications than just that. Many in the church today are being deceived by the "New Age" bible versions, which I believe are "Anti-Christ" bibles. In reading the reviews for this book it seems that all the "negative" comments attack the author or the quotations she uses. Why can't someone come against the King James Bible itself when they attack it? Regardless of whether her quotations are wrong or not, just take a look solely on the comparison charts in this book. If you look at nothing else, look at those. Than make your mind up about the King James "Controversy". Gail Riplinger is just a woman. She is not perfect, which in turn means her book cannot be. The only one perfect in the adjective form of the word is Jesus Christ. One God, One Body, One Accord, but many versions of the Bible - I don't think so! This book is awesome!

Summary: The Liberal Christians hate this book
Comment: A friend gave me this book right after I got saved. I had just bought the corrupt NKJV thinking it was the same as a KJV (misleading advertising). After reading this book I realized how concise, easy to read, and most importantly its documented truth from beginning to end. The Lord has used Gail mightily in writing this book and anyone who willfully rejeccts the truth in it is a fool. I buy these to give them away to people so they have the facts about the KJV issue.

You CAN'T give an honest critique of ANY translation of the Bible without engaging the original language manuscripts!
Ms. Riplinger has little or no actual theological training -- indeed, her background is in the Fine Arts.
Her polemics run from the entertaining to the flat-out embarassing, castigating any and all who would disgree -- or even try to interact -- with her.
I'm certainly not knocking the King James Version. For it's time, it was about the best translation around -- and remains a remarkable example of classic English. But it is certainly not the best translation out there.
Give it a rest, Gail! Enough already!
