Comment: I've applied the principles outlined in this book & noticed a dramatic difference in the quality of my hair. I'm not saying this as a woman with a healthy head of hair but as a woman who used to have very dry and damaged hair.
I've become educated to understand that the reason for my damaged hair condition is due in part to not knowing how to properly care for my hair coupled with being victim to several hairstylists who have done nothing more than to damage the condition of my hair (i.e. drying my wet hair by using the "brush & blow dryer technique"). ...
I think this book is a must have!! At first reading I finished this book in 3 hrs. I've atleast referred to this book about several times since reading it the first time to soak in all the helpful tips to ensure I follow the program properly. I'm so thankful for coming across this book because it provides very useful & "common sense" approaches to hair care coming from a "non-haircare professional".
The only thing I thing I think Ms. Howse needs to improve upon is her customer service approach. If you read some of her responses on her webcite, I think she comes across rather harshly in some of her responses to the public.
Otherwise that I feel that the content of this book is EXCELLENT!!

Summary: Great book for relaxed hair!
Comment: I recently bought Cathy's book & I must say it was a good read. While alot of stuff in here seems to be just common sense about hair care, Cathy's frankness and realness makes this book one of the best written black hair care books on the market.
