Comment: This book is truly a gem! Forgiveness is a subject that we all must deal with; our well-being depends upon our ability to forgive. We are often told that we must forgive, no matter how deep the pain, no matter how vile the transgression, but no one ever explained to us how to forgive.

In her book, Ms. Burns shares with her readers some of her growth experiences with unforgiveness and forgiveness, and gives wonderfully practical suggestions on how to forgive. She does not deny the difficulty which lies in the very act of forgiving due to resentment, hurt, anger, hate, and other such emotions. Nor does she deny that these feelings exist. Ms. Burns discusses the cycle - from the transgression that leads to resentment and unforgiveness, to the damage that it causes to our own self when we don't forgive, to how to forgive, to the wonderful results of forgiveness.
