Summary: Wonderful addition to any cookbook collection!!
Comment: I first owned Kitchen Companion by Polly Clingerman and was so impressed that I added Dinner Companion. I reference these books daily! The Dinner Companion provides easy to prepare dishes with common ingredients. I haven't made a dish yet that my family WON'T eat! Polly's suggestions, hints, tips and tricks are invaluable. A MUST for any cook!

Summary: Tasty!
Comment: I like the straight forward approach to this book. For instance, the author gives a bunch of simple, easy-to-make sauces for pasta, or things to do with rice, beef, pork. Summary: A great book for ingredient led cookery
Comment: I bought this book when on vacation in Florida and brought it back to Scotland with me. I have really enjoyed using it. It is great for when you look in the refridgerator and think "what can I do with that piece of chicken/pork/beef/vegetables" There is lots of chat in the book, ideas for entertaining etc. But basically this is a book for everyday home cookery. I found the recipes easy to use without too many ingredients and there were very few which I found difficult to obtain, even on the other side of the pond! Only thing I think could be improved is a reduction in the fat content of recipies. END
