Summary: An Unexpected Find
Comment: Publication under the "Church and the World Series" makes one expect a dry, academic text. It is, however, a wonderful, easy to read memoir of Lillian Craig Harris' missionary father and her relationship to him.

It is highly recommended to anyone who liked both Angela's Ashes and The Poisonwood Bible. Like Frank McCourt (Angela's Ashes), Harris is coming to terms with her past. Though a different story, there are enough simularities to The Poisonwood Bible that one wonders if Barbara Kingsolver was familiar with this earlier work.
