Summary: you CAN be hypnotized to act aginst your will! how? RAPPORT!
Comment: Before you buy this book or go to HMI check out "Malignant Self-Love, Narcissism Revisited" by Samuel Vaknin. Vaknin has published most of his book here in Amazon and elsewhere online.
The author of the "Professional Hypnotism Manual: Introducing Physical and Emotional Suggestibility and Sexuality" and the personality of the entire school fit the profile Vaknin has carefully and honestly shared so that we may all be aware of these "types" Kappas calls "emotionals" and openly confesses to be one himself!
Perhaps this book will give "physicals" who read it a chance to survive or at least recognize the ones unfamiliar with honesty, unwilling to give, unable to listen, and afraid of touch. Another author calls "emotionals" the people of the lie.

Summary: The Prime Text for Hypnosis
Comment: This book is an excellent guide to modern hypnosis. The discovery of physical, emotional and intellectual suggestibility by Dr. Kappas has made it easy for therapists to cause their suggestions to patients to be far more productive. I have used the methods in my sports psychology work effectively. I recommend this book to all hypnotists and therapists.

Summary: Still Effective After All These Years
Comment: I graduated from HMI in July of 1993. To this day, I have found the techniques of using emotional and physical suggestibility to be the best way to gain a deep level of hypnosis in my clients.
Suggestibility is clearly explained in the manual and techniques for dealing with varying degrees in your client are provided. I've attended many other seminars and training classes, but don't feel their techniques are as effective.
I also own the first and second editions of this manual. It's nice to see that the book is evolving as time goes on.
This is an excellent manual for anyone wishing to learn good techniques for hypnotherapy. I highly recommend this manual.
