Summary: Add it to your library
Comment: This is the most comprehensive fitting book I have seen. A couple of things to be aware of: it does not include pants fitting or fitting for males (though most of the methods could be adapted.) Also, be aware that the first 13 chapters or so are an overview of their concepts and not a step-by-step guide! If you want to work through your own alterations, start with chapter 14 and follow the order of alterations in each following chapter. This is a book that works best if you read and study it. Glancing at pictures may not give you all the information you need. It's not the be-all and end-all of fitting books but it is definitely worth having.

Summary: Answers many of the most FAQ's about fit problems
Comment: This book gives the clearest, most accurate fitting techniques I have ever seen in a home sewer's reference. It answers so many of the common sewing issues, and addresses common body issues. You will be so happy you bought this book. The photgraphs are clear, the language is easy tounderstand, and the whoel spectrum of fitting issues are addressed. You do not need to be plus-sized or petite to use this book - there are varying levels of every fitting challenge, and they are explained in terms that are easily applied to any of the big pattern companies' products.

Summary: disapointed
Comment: I was so disapointed with the book. Yes, there are plenty of pictures but for what... There is not one explanation on fitting pants. Nor is there any man or boy therefore no fitting for their clothing. The fitting explanations are very vague. For example they show a picture of a person with a tissue pattern pinned on and explain that they did this or that. No explanations on figuring out how much to add in inches and how to really know where to do what. They say fitting is more of an art. I find Bob Ross explains more when he is painting! For those of you out there looking for a technical book on fitting, keep searching.
