Summary: An excellent resource.
Comment: As a recent bride, I must say this book relieved a lot of my anxiety. While there will always be unanticipated situations, this book reassured me I was on the right track. Beverly Clark covers it all, from budgeting to proper invitation wording. My copy of the book did not have pockets. But even if it had, they would not have been large enough or strong enough to hold the hotel contracts, invitee address lists, photos, business cards, and invitation and ceremony program samples I carried with me (I used a three ring binder for this purpose.) Especially useful those unfamiliar with wedding etiquette, "Planning a Wedding to Remember" is a smart buy.

Summary: Not enough information to plan a wedding
Comment: This book contained very generic information and was not near in-depth enough. The information it contained is the same you can find from many other sources. It only scratches the surface and does not contain enough information to successfully plan a wedding. Especially if you want veer even slightly off the beaten path. You will definitely need another source for planning a wedding. I found Weddings for Dummies (available on amazon) combined with the Knot website (especially the checklist and budgeting tools) to provide me what I needed. However, if all you are looking for is a "wedding organizer" ( a place to keep phone numbers, prices, and contracts), then this will fill your needs. I found the "information gathering sheets" to be helpful. It provided places for information that I didn't realize would be handy to have in one place (such as everyone's name and phone number) and the various price quotes from different vendors. The spiral binding makes it easy to write in because the pages lay flat and it is easy to take with you on all appointments. But, if you are looking for information, tips, or ideas, then you should get another book.

Summary: Best Planner out there
Comment: I recently got engaged and wanted to buy all the books. This book has everything you could think of and more. My finance even looked through it and found some useful stuff. It's not just for the bride. I recommend this book to anyone who is planning a wedding big or small.
