Summary: Even better than Bradshaw - Bettino is the Best !!
Comment: Carol Bettino's book "Better Choices, Better Life" is by far, the best self-help book I have ever read. I have read Bradshaw and others, and by far, Carol's down-to-earth, easy-reading style is fantastic. The book is not only a good read, but it is a workbook that enables you to write down in your own words the issues you have had to deal with your whole life. By utilizing the workbook aspect of her book, it "peels back the onion" so to speak, so that you can have truly have a successful "core dump". Many of us "chase away the rats" in our lives, but fail to "dump the trash can". If you don't "dump the trash can", the rats will keep coming back. Carol's book walks you through the "how to's" of "dumping the trash". Thank you Carol for such a wonderful book! :-)

Comment: I found that the material in this book has been very helpful and enlightening. It's a very easy read and a book which makes you--introspectively, look at your life and see if you're on the right path, if you're not, Carol gives some excellent tips for getting there. Most people spend their entire lives making a living, but get serious about what you want and you can learn to make a life! Carol helps us to do that.

Comment: This is an excellent book. It has helped me look at self-defeating behaviors in a brand new way. As she talks about her trust and faith in God and it's importance, the author also illustrates how important it is for us to own our reactions, recognize our self-defeating behaviors, and make appropriate adjustments. She also makes suggestions of steps that can be taken to make those adjustments and acknowledges this as an ongoing process.
