Summary: The Green Hornet, one of the first and the best
Comment: First off, I would like to say that I haven't read the collector's edition offered by this company. I own the original issues of this comic, in fact I own every issue.

I remember the first time I saw a copy of The Green Hornet #1, I laughed to myself. It looked ridiculous. Years later I found myself in a comic book shop and came across that same issue. When I looked at it then, it struck me differently, maybe I had matured, I'm still not sure. I bought that issue and loved every page of it. I went back the next day and bought every issue the store had.

The story by Ron Fortier was gripping. You became involved in the story and with the characters. I found myself feeling bad with what the characters were going through. His use of characterization was put to good use with this series. He was able to show a family heritage of crime fighting and make me believe it. I read comics on a regular basis and manage to keep them at arms length, but here, I believed.

The same goes for Jeff Butler's artwork. I had never seen his work before, but I have sought it out since. You can see the emotion on the character's faces. You know just what they're going through, because maybe you've been there. The way he drew the Black Beauty was incredible!

To sum it up, this series made me a fan of the Green Hornet for life. The story and art turned it all around for me. I already own all the issues, but I know that I'll be purchasing a copy of this book.
