Comment: Are you an exceptional person? Capable of anything? Do you have an unshakeable confidence in yourself in your own field? Can you push yourself beyond the limits of your coworkers to get things done which other people consider improbable or impossible?
Or maybe, considering that you're reading this review, that should be all in the past tense. Because a stress breakdown will shatter that confidence, and hobble your ability to perform. It is something that nobody will understand or be able to cope with. It is not the same as depression, it is a physical, strength and mind-sapping condition which you cannot explain.
The biggest step to recovering from a stress breakdown seems to be recognizing what it is and knowing that it is possible to recover with time. This book helps with that, and gives hope to sufferers and empowers them and their loved ones with knowledge that there can be light at the end of the tunnel.
Highly recommended to anyone who has suffered a breakdown, or who is in a high stress role and has yet to reach that point. Also recommended for anyone who wants to understand and cope with someone else who has had a breakdown.

Summary: Excellent book - a must-read for those suffering from stress
Comment: I am a high-level manager in the fast-paced high tech world. I recently suffered from the effects of a severe stress breakdown. This is the only reference I found available to answer those questions that no one, not even the medical field, could answer. The effects of long-term, severe stress are very real and damaging. The stories from others in the same situation helped me understand I wasn't losing my mind. I am still on the road to recovery, but this book has enabled me to be more proactive and gentle in my approach to my own healing. I highly recommend this book to those suffering from stress, their employers and all people involved in the healing process. My thanks to the authors for putting this information together and offering it to the public.
