Comment: If you have can buy only one book on resumes, it should be this one. It is written in a commonsense, easy to read manner. As an Employment Service Specialist for a county Employment Center and Welfare to Work program, I have used her ideas and examples with great success with clients whose work history has been spotty as well as professionals who drop by our center for help with their resumes. I use it as a training tool with new staff. Another of Parker's books - Blue Collar & Beyond is a great guide for those jobs that may be not have traditionally required resumes. It covers everything from IT technician, to Administrative assistance. It gives you examples on how to go for the job, and get it on the spot, and shows what to put, and what not to put on a resume.
This book is a definite get for anyone wondering on how to write a functional resume and make you feel like you are the king of the world. The books gives MANY examples for people who dont know how to write good resume's, and trust me it is HARD!
This book takes your hand, and shows you that you can write a good resume, and it is great for someone who is looking for a job, but dont know how to write a good resume, this book is a MUST GET for a employer.
