Customer Reviews

Rating: 5
Summary: Udseful in RCIA
Comment: Valuable insights not only for those married to Catholics, but also for others interested in learning about the Catholic Church. I will be using this book with my RCIA inquirers.

Rating: 3
Summary: Okay, but not great
Comment: This book was an enjoyable, informative read, but I thought that the excessive use of cartoons detracted from the message rather than enhancing it. The content was good for day-to-day information about how a practicing Catholic follows his or her religion, but didn't give as much theological information as I was hoping for. I was also expecting more information on how to actually work out religious differences, but in reality there are just "Two Real-Life Stories" at the very end. The stories seemed a little too canned. Finally, I felt that the tone of the book was somewhat patronizing. The dictionary of Catholic terms, however, is very useful.

Rating: 5
Summary: extremely informative, hits the basics
Comment: An easy to read, non-threatening style that informs without being boring. Covers lots of touchy subjects with sensitivity. Good balance of humor and seriousness, all Catholic adults would enjoy learning about their faith community through this format, one does not have to be married to benefit from this book. The Questions and Answers in each section relate to 'real life'. Excellent book, good for one's personal library.
