Summary: An Excellent Resource of Christian Apologetics at its Best
Comment: A monumental work! This is the best book on the subject of Christian evidences that I have read. It reviews and assesses the major topics involved in Christian apologetics: faith and reason, the absurdity of life without God, the existence of God, the problem of miracles, the problem of historical knowledge, the historical reliability of the New Testament, and the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. What makes this work special is that Dr. Craig draws upon a wealth of knowledge from modern big bang cosmology and New Testament critical studies to bolster his claim that Christianity is reasonable. Reading this book will challenge the skeptic's atheism and edify the believer's faith. Destined to be a classic and rival to C.S. Lewis' "Mere Christianity."

Summary: Great philosophical apology
Comment: In his introduction, William Lane Craig explains that apologetics is the branch of Christian theology which tries to rationally justify the claims of Christian faith. Craig does this in an easy-to-grasp manner, concentrating on the philosophical issues rather than the hard evidence (for an apology with hard evidence, check out Josh McDowell's "The New Evidence").
The book is broken down into eight parts:
--How do I know Christianity is true?
--The absurdity of life without God
--The existence of God
--The problem of miracles
--The problem of historical knowledge
--The historical reliability of the New Testament (by noted scholar Craig Blomberg
--The self-understanding of Jesus
--The resurrection of Jesus
My favorite two sections were "The absurdity of life without God" and "The existence of God." In these sections Craig tackles many of the philosophical questions about God, and he does it in a simple and succinct manner. Another thing that I really liked about this book are the sections at the end of each chapter called "Practical Application." In these sections, Craig supplies ways you can use the information in the chapter to share in an evangelistic contact. Simple and specific dialogue is provided for the reader to use in spreading Christianity.
I would recommend this book to anyone that is looking to build his faith. Craig's final words, the "Ultimate Apologetic," challenge Christians to use their own life as an example of the best apology. To do this, follow the two great commandments: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great first commandment. And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself." --Matthew 22:35-40 The ultimate apologetic is: your life.

Summary: A Great Addition to the Apologist's Library.
Comment: William Lane Craig, my favorite Christian apologist, writes an accessible and powerful book in "Reasonable Faith".
Craig discusses many topics of importance- The Existence of God, The Meaning of Life, The Resurrection of Jesus, and more. Every topic is covered in sufficient detail, with Craig's excellent writing style and clarity apparent on every page. Craig is at his best when discussing the Cosmological Argument for God's existence. However, this is by no means the extent of his capability. He is an able defender of all the topics he covers.
One of the best features of "Reasonable Faith" is the "Practical Application" section featured at the end of each chapter. Here, Craig discusses ways in which the material provided can be of use when witnessing to others. As a consequence, Craig's book is very relevant and useful for any Christian living in today's intellectual society.
Unfortunately, Craig does not provide an organized list of "recommended further reads". Also, many of the chapters (in my opinion) focused too heavily on the historical aspects rather than the current arguments. Despite these flaws, however, "Reasonable Faith" is a valuable contribution to the Christian library from an excellent Christian scholar.
