Comment: I buy the new one each year. The World Almanac is my favorite fact book. As a writer, I require the best information possible. I trust this book. But I also enjoy it. I enjoy the trivia. I love to find out how old my favorite stars are. Who is living and who is dead. Just about everything you want to know is in this book. So I suggest you buy a new copy each year. They're informative but they're also fun!

Summary: It May Not Have The Sex Appeal of the Internet
Comment: As a professional author with my debut novel in its initial release, I know I don't need THE WOLRD ALMANAC in this Internet Age. I can find anything I want to know by surfing across the World Wide Web. Despite that knowledge, I buy a new almanac annually. It rests on my desk next to my dictionary, and I use it more often. A day doesn't go by while I'm working that I don't use the almanac to check a fact or confirm some information. Its facts are accurate, unlike some Internet "facts" and information can be easily found without resorting to a search engine. I've had a new almanac every year since I was in the fourth grade, and I am certain I will get a new one every year until I die.
