Summary: Grace is Everywhere - we just need help to spot it.
Comment: My first visit to the Monastery of the Holy Spirit was in late 1955. To this day I can recall the peace and serenity that I enjoyed at that special place on that fall weekend in Conyers, Georgia 45 years ago. Father Behrens captures that same peace as he introduces us to the real-life characters he and we meet daily. He uses words as an artist would use a brush to paint a perfect picture in your mind of the good that is present in each person we meet. It is an easy-to-read book that you will want to read again and again. My wife and I enjoyed the book so much that we purchased four more to present as gifts to our friends.

Summary: Grace is Everywhere but places we dont usually expect.
Comment: Weve been used to finding grace defined in religios tomes by very learned and well known authors. In GRACE IS EVERYWHERE we are taught by example that it is found in the everyday life of people we meet once or many times. The many examples given makes you pay attention more to the people you meet and you think about how these encounters can affect your life. Past encounters that bring happy and sad memories, current encounters with people you work with or just happen to meet can all show you that GRACE IS EVERYWHERE. The short stories are easy to read and you can put the book down after a few stories or devour it. You almost feel jealous of all the wonderful people Father Behrens has met. He is trying to tell us that we have met similar people you just have to SEE them. Youll want to read it again and again.

Summary: Grace Is On Every Page
Comment: James Stephen Behrens writes with disarming simplicity and unerring poise. He sees the wonder of life in the tiniest detail; like all true artists, nothing is lost on him. And his gift is to share that with his readers in these short, sweet meditations about life in and around his monastery in Georgia. The people he meets, the wonder he encounters, the miracles he enjoys -- all are beautifully filtered through his pen.
Grace is everywhere, and so is God, and we have Behrens to thank for reminding us of that, again and again.
