Summary: A Very Complete look at SCBA
Comment: This book is the most comprehensive look at Self Contained Breathing Apparatus that I have seen in relation to practical fire service use. This book has been replaced by the new version , "Respiratory Hazards" but I consider this book to be a very useful and practical guide towards SCBA.

Of the topics written about are The human Body, respiratory hazards, Safety and training, Donning and Doffing of SCBA, Inspection, Care, Maintenance, Cylinder Changing and Recharging, Using SCBA, Emergency operations and types of SCBA used in the fire service. In the Appendix section there is a chapter where numerous manufacturers models are examined at how they can be worn and used.

This book is must know information for fire service personnel. This book is mostly about open circut SCBA use. There may be a newer version of this book, but this book is still invaluable. I place this book at a high value in my library and don't intend to replace this book any time soon.
