Summary: AWESOME ADDITION TO HOMESCHOOL LIBRARY
Comment: "Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we fail not." GALATIONS 6:9, KJV
Being a mum is hard. So much multi-tasking is required. What if you add the responsibility of your children's education into the mix? It certainly makes for an interesting life. It doesn't have to be unattainable though. Christine Field has come up with a practical guide to leading a balanced life whilst providing the best education for your child.
This book would be great for both the experienced homeschooling parent and the novice Homeschooler. It gives wonderfully practical advice about keeping your sanity when things seem to be overwhelming, how to avoid burnout, and brings it all back to what God says in his Word. I loved what she had to say about making a mission plan and that homeschooling could be even considered a "calling". WOW!
This book has made me feel better about our decision to homeschool our children. It would be a great addition to any homeschoolers bookshelf.

Summary: great advice esp. for parents with young children
Comment: This book gave me the encouragement I needed plus some helpful advice. I loved her book "A Field Guide to Homeschooling" and this book is a great addition to the collection. Alot of common sense that doesn't seem so common to moms when they are in the middle of the situation.
I especially loved her advice about how to manage teaching multi-age children and about how to manage homeschooling with a toddler in the house. I put down the book and made my own "Danny-Do" cards for my toddler the first day. It has made a difference in our household.
Thanks again, Christine, for the encouragement.

Summary: One of the best I've read
Comment: This book is indeed from a Christian viewpoint, and it literally touched me on a soul level. I found myself laughing at times, and close to being choked up at times as well. Christine is a brilliant writer with a touching wit. I received this book as a gift two days ago, and have honestly not been able to put it down. I finished it this morning and am grateful for the insights it provided me. I highly recommend this book!
