Summary: A simple yet VERY worth-while book
Comment: Not only do I find this book relatively easy to understand, but Carolyn gives real-world examples to support her theories and ideas. I am currently at her treatment center in Malibu and this book has not only enlightened me on eating disorders, but it has also aided me to comprehend what my parents and loved ones are going through and how the eating disorder affects them. I highly recommend this book!

Summary: Excellent resource for families and friends
Comment: As a nutrition therapist I recommend this book to the parents of clients I am working with. Carolyn Costin offers professional guidance to parents with the her unique perspective as a recovered patient. The chapters intended for Mom and then Dad are especially helpful in gaining an understanding in the development and treatment of eating disorders. If you suspect or know that your daughter has an eating disorder I highly recommend this book.
