Comment: lots of good information in here displayed in an easy to read style that makes it easy to read. some of the advice contradicts things said in other books however, so I'd reccommend having more than just this to help you with your rottie. otherwise, a great book.

Summary: Great introduction to a wonderful breed.
Comment: I got my Rott as a surprise gift from my wife and really wasn't sure if I was ready for a dog after my favorite dog died. And because of my misconceptions about the species, thought I should read up on them. I really learned a tremendous amount about the Rottweiller and realied what a great dog they are. Now my Rott has really shown me how smart, obedient, and loyal they are and this book really helped me with a lot of the fine points of bringing up my dog.

Summary: Excellent Training Guide
Comment: While training is only a small portion of this book, I find the training techniques provided more useful than ANY other book I have on dog training (and I have a lot of them). Her techniques are not only animal frienly, but intuitive to the animal as well. She teaches sit/stand/down based on the anatomy of the dog versus pushing the dog into the sit or down position. She teaches how to train the dog to want to walk by your side whether on OR off leash. Her methods are very effective and if you want to train your dog, I would highly recommend this method over any other I've seen.
