Summary: Let the truth be known
Comment: This is a 56 page booklet cleverly written to quickly uncover the truth about the nature-based religion of Wicca. Christianity's egotistical belief that they are the only true religion, was one of the reasons all the misconceptions about alternative religions began in the first place. Unlike more commonly socially acceptable religions, "Wicca is non-profit and non-political. It is not evangelical or contolling. It is not out to rule the world or convert the masses, take your money or try to force you to believe as its followers do". It is free-thinking and moral. Wicca does not believe it is right for everyone. It encourages you to research and learn it to be sure that it is right for you. It encourages individuality. So this is a great book to recommend to anyone who is intelligent enough and open minded enough to learn about something that they don't understand before they blindly pass judgement on it based on what "religious" people have lead them to believe.
Rating: 5
Summary: I get the impression that Pat Robertson has not read this.
Comment: Telling a family member about your beliefs can be really hard. Slip this book under their pillow at night and you'll be set. Ok, it might be better to actually tell them what you are and what you believe and then give them the book--but either way, this is a great book to help a friend or family member become more informed about what you believe.
Scott Cunningham delivers the basic info to help calm any sort of fears of midnight parties with Satan and presents Witchcraft as a nature-loving, positive religion that thousands and thousands of people are practicing everyday.
From the basic tools, to religious days, to Deities, to folk magick, to initiation, Scott covers the necessary basics to help inform the reader about what Witchcraft is all about.
A recommended book for all beginners and practitioners' friends and family who need something to ease that pesky chest pain.

Summary: The truth known today as it was 6000yrs ago.
Comment: Witchcraft we can say is one of the oldest religions, as seen in the Holy Bible, but it is never spoken of in a positive light.
Dueuteronomy
18:10 "There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire or that useth divination, or an observer of times or an enchanter or a witch. Or a charmer or a sonsulter with familiar spirits or a wizard or a necromancer. For all these things are an abomination unto the Lord and because of these abominations the Lord Thy God doth drive them out from before thee. For these nations which thou shalt possesss hearkened unto observers of times and unto diviners; but as for thee the Lord Thy God hath not suffered (allow) thee so to do."
Witch's per say, do not believe in the devil, in fact that don't even believe in God (Jehova). Though they may not believe in the devil, they certainly follow doctrines of demons. This is the biggest deception of Satan. Does he care if you don't belive in him? As long as he can keep you from God, your at free will to believe in the unicorn.
This is why God tells us not to consort with evil spirits, or gods and goddess what witches call them. We are told that Satan is the god of this word. Sure, they come off as friendly, but that is another deception. Wicca is against the first commandment of God, "Thou shalt not have any God's before me."
Yes, witchcraft is the same witchcraft of yesterday, will be in the present and tomorrow, just sold in a different package, but having the same gut.
God Bless
