Comment: This book contains a wealth of practical information on basic gunsmithing which will be of benefit primarily to hobby gunsmiths, although there are plenty of "tips and tricks" that will also appeal to professionals in this field. A wide variety of topics are covered, including choosing and using basic tools, blueing, trigger jobs, and general maintenance tips for a number of specific firearms. The book production is not of the highest quality, and subsequently the photographs are not as instructive as one might hope. However, the text is straightforward and not weighted down with jargon. Overall, an excellent introduction to an interesting topic.
