Comment: Part of the "I Am Reading Latin" series, this book is perfect for the young reader. The topic of colors is both familiar and accessible to any small child, thus introducing Latin derivatives through enjoyable content. The colors are defined in the front cover in the book, then explored through the various pictures of animals, flowers, and other objects. Most interestingly, though, is that the book encourages young children to learn by doing. The pictures inside the book are just outlines, encouraging the children to fill in the colors themselves. There is a page calling for the kids to color in their favorite color, followed by a spot for a picture using that color. This primary reader introduces young children to the language of the ancients through a familiar topic and enjoyable means of learning. Not only a book about colors, "Quo colore est" is the perfect coloring book.
