Summary: Anne Frank, an unfortunate story to get the point across
Comment: The story of Anne Frank is a story of a young Jewish girl caught up in the turmoil of the Holocaust in the early 1940's. The book is a translation of Anne's diary of the years during this horrible time. Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl tells a vivid story of a Jewish family and their trials and hardships. Anne Frank begins her diary once she receives it for her birthday. She is an ordinary girl living in Frankfort during the 1940's. As she describes it, she has a loving, caring family, great friends, and many admiring boy friends. Her life is turned upside down one day, however, when her ad her family are forced to leave their happy lives and go into hiding. Anne is very talkative and cheerful. She always tries to look on the bright side, no matter how gloomy it may seem. When a person thinks of the Holocaust, they normally think of a time of hardships and suffering. Although this is the case with the Frank family, they lived very comfortably compared to other Jews. They share a hidden house with four other people, called the "Secret Annex." Their house has three floors, so it is fairly roomy considering their situation. The translation of Anne's diary is very accurate and well done. Her entries are very imaginative and give vivid descriptions of everyday life for the Jewish refugees during the Holocaust. The story also shows the Holocaust from a child's point of view and has excellent stories of love and injustice, among other themes. Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl is an excellent book for people of all ages, and should be thoroughly appreciated by every religion for all of the suffering the Jews endured during this time.

Summary: Murdered by evil, immortalized to inspire good in all people
Comment: This remarkable book, unintentionally "penned" by a mere child, one of millions of victims during the Nazis Reign of Terror, lives on as testimony to the countless atrocities inflicted on people simply because they were not members of the so-called "master race". Hidden in an attic from Nazi search parties, Anne and several family memebers await the end of a regeme, always fearing to be found and killed.
An "ordinary girl" in every aspect, yet due to circumstances Anne Frank became an inspiration to all young girls everywhere, yes to all who belong to the human species. The fact that this innocent soul kept believing in the good of all people, even in the face of her own death, will be an uplifting force to all who are privileged to read her notes...entrusted to her dear diary. I highly recommend this book to readers age 10 and older.*****

Summary: Franco's Fabulous Book Review
Comment: Anne Frank, a 13 year-old, strong-willed, and courageous girl, is living in the Secret Annex during WWII to escape the Nazi regime. Anne, along with her family and close friends, are hiding from the Nazis because they are of the Jewish faith. Anne falls in love with Peter, a 15 year-old boy who is living with her in the Secret Annex. They become very close as they spend time in the attic trying to escape Peter's annoying mother. The group living in the Secret Annex has to be extremely careful. If they make too much noise, they have a chance of being caught. If they are caught, they will most likely be sent to a concentration camp. Any loud noise or movement could cost the eight tenants of the Secret Annex to die.
"Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl" is an amazing book. It lets you realize how lucky we are to live in the world we live in today. The struggles that Anne and the group go through to live a "normal" life are nothing like anyone in today's world would be forced to go through. It allows people interested in WWII to gain information as to what is was like to live during the war.
"Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl" is a must read. It is ver informative, yet allows the reader to learn about WWII in an interesting way. So, if you like WWII and are interested in learning what it was like to live back then, this book is for you. It is also a good piece of historical fiction. Pick it up today!
