Summary: A classic book in a classic series
Comment: The Freddy books have been a part of my life since I was in the second grade, about thirty years ago. The characters are some of the most memorable in all of children's fiction: Freddy the lazy but somehow enthusiastic pig, Jinx the forthright, pretension-destroying cat, and Mrs. Wiggins, the ever sensible cow, just to name three. The books are funny, enlightening, and entertaining, having a lot to say about right and wrong without ever becoming preachy.

Wiggins for President is one of the best books in the series, with a political sensibility that puts Animal Farm to shame. I'm delighted to hear that it's coming back into print, and I hope that the remaining 25 books in the series will soon follow.
