Summary: More advanced than expected
Comment: I bought this book for my 3 year old because he loves maps and it was recommended by a national parents magazine. I thought it was going to be pages of maps, like a normal atlas...it is really more a book with a few small maps integrated into the text. Much more advanced than what I expected. It divides the world into the continents and then discusses special things about the people and places on the continent. Very informational, but not incredibly map oriented. I would recommend this book for kids 5 and older, which is who it is probably for, I was just thinking that my 3 year old would get to see a lot of maps since it was an "atlas". I was wrong :-)
