Summary: Can't wait for the Next One
Comment: This series is captivating. It details a fictional family as real as yours or the one next door to you. The characters feel like real people, with real struggles, and real faith issues. The telling of Ashley's story in Remember draws the reader in and makes you feel things for this character.

Sure she's made mistakes but haven't we all? I was just a wee bit disappointed it didn't tie her love life up, but on the other hand that gives me something to look forward to in the next book. And it was wonderful to see some old characters like Kari and Ryan find their happiness and be revisted. As the story's are told I find myself on seat's edge wanting to know what is wrong with Brooke's child and wanting Luke to find Reagan again.

For those of you who haven't picked up this series yet, start with Redemption and work your way up. Though each story could stand alone, there are definetly key elements you will miss if you read these out of order.

Summary: COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN
Comment: These "R" books by Karen Kingsbury and Gary Samlley are absolutely wonderful (Redemption, Remember, Reunion). Have read all 3 and can not wait for #4. Have just finished my first of Karen Kingsbury's novels "Where Yesterday Lives" and this book was awesome, too. Am ordering three more of her books today. She is a blessing and an author I can understand completely.

Summary: Refreshingly real...
Comment: What a beautiful, wonderful story. I couldn't put it down. The tale of the Baxter family and it's patriach Dr. John Baxter and his wife Elizabeth stirred my heart with the tender honesty I crave in fiction. Everyone didn't pray the sinner's prayer or make all the right choices, but this book filled me with hope and faith. We are all so weak and fallable and in need of the great grace Christ offers.

From the fragile memories of the Alzhemier's patients at Sunset Hills to the each of the Baxter children's journey to recapture the love and faith they'd left, lost or never discovered, REMEMBER is unforgettable. Bring the tissues and be prepared to leave this book's pages with a renewed understanding of faith, family and country. I'd been thinking this week that a depressive feeling I hadn't felt since September 11th had begun to assail me again in light of recent events. This book was a refreshing chance to truly remember, not only the sorrow of 9-11, but the charity and unity that followed. May God strengthen us all.
