Summary: Fun With Electronics : Build 25 Amazing Electronic Projects!
Comment: I found that all experiments worked with parts included in the "workbench". I did not have to purchase extra parts. I first used this when my daughters were 7 and 8 (a little early). They pulled it out when science project time came around and the box still worked! Excellent introduction to electronics for family project or individual project.
Rating: 5
Summary: Excellent, Entertaining, & Fun! book =)
Comment: This is a great book, full of cute humor & fun.
Has springs that make experimenting easy to work with. It comes with a sturdy cardboard box to preform all your experiments on.
Even if you leave it on the floor and step on the box (Like most kids do)it can be redone using a sturdy software box and a photocopy machine or scanner.
Comes with everything (in a hard plastic storage case) needed to do all the experiments.
No mad dashes to Radio Shock or the local electronics store.
It Really has a lot of cool projects!
The great circuts provide a great launching pad and gives your little mad scientist Ideas to invent or use the circuts in other neat things!.
For the more technical moms/dads out there it has schematic diagrams of all the projects.
This is an excellent book for any age from 12 - 100+
I recived this as a gift when I was about 15.
I recently pulled it out and used it again for a College Electronics course and I am now 21 and still using this book and still enjoying it. I discover something new and creative about this book everytime I look at it.
Book Uses:
Resistor Color codes, Using Audio (Piezo transducer) Transistors, Photocells, (Phototransistors) Capacitors, Transformer, Frequency, (2 types of radios to build) (If you have a frequency generator you can pick up a frequency on a radio you can build)
Very easy to read format, I have a learning disability and found this easy to understand and very hands on!
