Comment: I still have my original copy of this book. Copyright 1964! The colors are beautiful and the message one that applies to all of us! We are lucky to have parents who read these classics to us. I would love an extra copy for my classroom!

Summary: Alexander, My Favorite Green Horse With Red Stripes
Comment: This is one of my favorite childrens books. I am studying to be a teacher and want to find this book to use in my classroom. I still have my own original copy but would purchase as many as I could get my hands on for my future children. What a great lesson for young readers.

Summary: My favorite children's book of all time!
Comment: I could cry that this book is out of print, but hopefully those Amazon folk will be wiley enough to find me a used copy. Some of my earliest memories are of paging through this book before I learned to read. The jewel-like colors used in the illustrations to this day are intensely nostalgic for me, and the whole feel of the pictures and story are of calm, warm, and glowing dusk - a father talking to his son before bedtime in a cozy, shadowy room.
