Summary: Not-So Excellent Excuses
Comment: I'm a huge fan of Garfield and his antics - I often see myself in the lazy, smart-mouthed little fiend. This little book of "excellent" excuses highly disappointed me. Overall, I think I found only about five excuses humorous. None of the material comes from Jim Davis, but several writers who can only serve up a poor imitation. Perhaps the fact that I'm not a child factors into my lack of appreciation, but the cartoons of Jim Davis appeal to adults as well as children. This book definitely reflects very poorly upon Mr. Davis.

Comment: This is a funny little book. Garfield's excuses will make adults laugh with the fat cat's wicked sense of humor, while children will have lots of fun trying to put them to use.

Comment: I bought this book for my younger sister who is a major Garfield fan. She enjoyed the humorous excuses as well as trying them out on the rest of the family.
