Summary: Thinking outside of your cultural bubble
Comment: What is it like for a foreign student to come to America and try to write a paper according to American standards? Many times our standards may clash with their own cultural values, and/or the way they have been taught to communicate their ideas. But these are just a few of the places where problems occur, and it is important to know that ESL students are dealing with more than just a "language barrier." In this book, Fox has collected first-hand accounts from hundreds of foreign students, and organized them into intriguing, bite-sized chapters for the reader. I recommend this book to absolutely anyone.
