Summary: Great Book!!!!
Comment: Jamie Kennedy is a wonderful writer! If you are not interested in laughing, then this book isn't for you. Once you start reading his book you won't be able to put it down.

Summary: YOU REALLY NEED TO BUY THIS BOOK -- SERIOUSLY
Comment: If you're interested in pop culture -- actually, if you're interested in culture at all -- read "Wannabe."

You may not think that there's a lot to be taken from Jamie Kennedy's story, apart from maybe a few laughs. But look hard at these pages. Not only are they smarter, funnier, and much better-written than any other recent offerings in this genre -- they're truly profound.

The insights offered into Hollywood and the world of comedy specifically -- but also into life and the issues of goal-setting, expectation-management, and personal satisfaction more generally -- are sharp and provocative. I could go on, but by this point, you're either going to do yourself a favor, or turn "CSI" back on.

Put simply, Jamie Kennedy and his co-author Ellen Rapoport have a rare and special genius: they will make you think deeply and profitably about who you are and where you're going, and make it so much fun you're likely to wet pants in the first 100 pages.

Summary: Couldn't Put It Down!
Comment: I don't really want to say that this book surprised me by how good it is, because Jamie is one of the funniest people on the planet, but I have to say it caught me off guard by how well it reads. That said, I didn't think he would be able to cross over to this media as successfully as Wannabe has to show off his humor, even with the help of a Harvard grad to co-write.

After not being able to put Wannabe down for a second, I have to say he has pulled it off! It's sad, funny, happy, crazy, unbelievable and most importantly, refreshingly REAL! Sure he ad-libs a few things here and there, but that is his sense of humor spinning on the thought he's trying to get out, and I for one had a laughing spurt every couple pages. People around me when I was reading must have thought I was a nutcase.

For non-Jamie fans considering Wannabe, if you have any sense of humor, or are looking for a great and touching story, definitely pick this one up.

Congrats Jamie, not just on the book...but finding your way through the ugliness that Hollywood can be, so you can bring the world your hysterical sense of humor. I think it's your best Autobiography ever!

Some people might not get it or appreciate it, but to those of us who do, you fill a void that no one else ever possibly could!

P.S. It's 4:15 in Madagascar!
