Comment: I have completed about 13 or Irving Jensen's self study guides on Old and New Testament books of the Bible. One of my favorites was the one on the Acts of the Apostles. Jensen has a way of getting the reader to make connections and realize personal applications as well as to understand Biblical principles. In this guide he puts the book of Acts into historical context both in the political and the religious world of the early church. It was an exciting time for the first Christians, and it is fascinating to relive it through scriptures, seeing God at work in the apostles' lives. The first time I completed the study guide I was working on my own. Now I am going to go through it again with my Bible Study class.
