Summary: Amazing Illustrations
Comment: For me, the primary draw to "Anatomy of the Honey Bee" is the illustrations. Carefully handdrawn honey bee stingers may not be your cup of tea, but I find them fascinating to look at. H.R. Giger has nothing on this stuff. The very idea that there are people in the world that are so infinitely (I dare not say "intimately") familiar with these insects is mindboggling.
The text is interesting as well, but I've never read it straight through. I find it
more fruitful to think of the text as extended captions to the amazing illustrations.

Summary: Exellent book for technical insight of the honeybee
Comment: I really liked this book. It was very technical, but written in a way that I could enjoy it as if it were a novel.
I'm a honeybee hobbyist and this book gave me great insight on the social actions and behavior of the honeybee.
