Summary: Very informative with detailed photography of the GSMD.
Comment: As a prospective dog owner, looking for the perfect breed is difficult, but Mr. Barton's explanation of the GSMD and his high-quality photography easily convinced me that the GSMD was the right choice. If you have never heard of the GSMD, this is also a great way to learn of how the breed was saved from near extinction. What a loss that would have been! Easily readable and enjoyable, this book made my decision easy. Job well done.

Summary: I wish I would have bought the book before I bought my puppy
Comment: Great book with lots of personal input by Mr. Barton. I was not sure what to expect when I got my pup other than what I saw on the internet and what the breeder told me. It was all pretty on target, but in this book, Mr. Barton introduces more subtle and intersting accounts of the characteristics of the breed and now I can see all this dveloping in my own Swissy. ...
