Comment: There are a lot of books on this topic, and certianly others may present information on certain topics in more detail.

Still, I think it consistently cuts to the heart of the matter in that it presents the information you need to understand the topic.

I was able to pick up stuff quickly with this book.

Plus, it is [money] to [money] cheaper than most books so it is a good value.

Comment: I really liked this book; it talks about things (serivces) ,show you how to do them,critisize, praize , give a real life examples ,and more than this it gives a startup on some script for each service you wanna setup. I would love to get from the same author(s) another edition with different authetication mechanisme other than NIS (it's getting old) like ldap or kerberos....

Comment: I have been looking for a book on RedHat Linux 6.2 as servers for several months. Finally I got this book. It covers most topics which I was looking for such as RedHat Linux 6.2 as file server, mail server, web server, database server, and so on. So far the only missing part I found is that it didn't include file sharing for Macintosh clients which I found in another book - Linux Problem Solver.

Overall, this is a comprehensive, worth-to-buy book on linux system administrations.
