Summary: Mr Reid breaks-out better than pimples before a big dance.
Comment: Here are characters in which will be held close to your heart, as they each fight for your full love, or even hate. Here are words that run in beauty like a blue stream in the lush forest of poetry. Here is a plot that will have you guessing, to the very end, and leave you on the edge of your seat, wanting more. Here is magic that will pop out of the pages, and into your very heart, soar. Here is my new favorite book. And alas, here is my calender counting the days to the very far-away sequel.

Summary: Subpar for the genre
Comment: This book was marred by weak characterization and a flimsy plot. It seemed as though it was rushed to print (several typos) and is clearly not up to the fine standard other Forgotten Realms books have set. None of the characters were very likeable and it all seemed a bit silly. This was a disappointment in my opinion. When compared to Paul Kidd's Greyhawk novels, this book was seriously lacking.

Summary: Another Fantastic Tale
Comment: Thomas M Reid weaves a great tale of mystery and intrigue. Every time I read something from him, I brought fully into the Realms. This one was no different. Great action sequences, memorable heroes, vile villains. Murder, mystery, intrigue. This one has it all. A MUST read!
