Summary: Not Good, But Great
Comment: I'm a marriage counselor and am always looking for material to recommend to my clients. Unfortunately, most of the books of this nature fall way short of being able to give my professional recommendation.
A lot of couples that I work with are in trouble because of their skewed view of romance. So many couples have tremendous debt that strains their marriage and many of the books I read only increase that problem with suggestions of cruises, exotic flowers and jewelry. Michael Webb has the right approach with his hundreds of ideas that are heartfelt, yet don't cost a lot of money. So many men in my practice tell me that they cant afford to be romantic. They are already maxed out on their cards. This book shatters the myth than romance must cost an arm and a leg.
What I like most about this book is that the ideas show and inspire couples to be romantic in ways that are meaningful to their relationship. Too much romance out there is too generic -- bought right off the drugstore counter. Michael's ideas and suggestions bring a deeper level of intimacy that can enrich even the most loving of marriages.
While this book will give you hundreds of ideas (more than you could ever possibly need), more importantly, it will inspire and teach you how to come up with your own inventive and sincere ways of expressing your love. You don't just give a starving man a fish, you teach him how to fish. The RoMANtic's Guide doesn't just give romantically challenged people ideas, it provides them with resources and knowledge to become a changed man or woman.
I can without any hesitation recommend this book. It is far more useful than almost any book I've read written by guys with "Dr." in their title. This is coming from a guy who has two of those degrees.
Buy the book and be prepared to live a lifetime of love.

Summary: What's Up?
Comment: Several months ago I told my boyfriend that I really needed more romance in our relationship -- you know saying and doing stuff that would make me feel special.
Soon afterwards he was the romantic guy I always dreamed of, coming up with clever and unique ways to surprise and delight me. I knew it wasn't in his nature to come up with these things on his own and after much pestering he told me he learned a lot about being romantic from this book.
He made me promise not to read the book so it wouldn't ruin all the surprises he has in store so I won't. But just the fact that this book taught my guy to be romantic (and in such a cool way) I have to give it at least 5 stars. I would have gladly had him pay 10 times as much for all the special moments we have shared from the ideas he says he got from this book. And no, we women don't mind a bit if guys dont come up with ideas on their own. We just want to be romanced.

Summary: Kool-Aid? Snow? OH-YEAAHH!!! It's The RoMANtic!
Comment: Being an author, romance expert and relationship coach I'm always on the look out for good romance how-to and relationship books to read and recommend to others. I recommend The RoMANtic's Guide for its easy creative romantic tips and inspiring examples of willingness to keep love and romance alive. The ideas you get in Webb's book can quickly enable you to achieve a five star rating for romance in your relationship.
The book is filled with affordable thoughtful romantic ways to dote on anyone anywhere at anytime using just about anything you can imagine, like snow (free) and Kool-Aid (very inexpensive). Variety and creativity are some of the most constructive gifts we have been given. However, those gifts are seldom used to improve love relationships--their power and ability to evoke positive change is merely taken for granted by most individuals, but not by Michael Webb.
Love is a lot like auto racing. Nobody starts with intention of coming in second place. Adding The RoMANtic's Guide to your bookshelf is one more way to keep you and your honey Racing to Win in the Relationship Race. Every pit crew has more than one good mechanic. If you want to keep your relationship running on all cylinders, reading more than just one good romance/relationship book will surely help keep you and your loved one in Victory Lane. I'm glad to have The Romantic's Guide on my creativity crew. Get yourself a copy of The Romantic's Guide today. It's one more way you can rev-up your relationship for good.
