Summary: Scream: A screenplay has 5 stars and two thums up!
Comment: Scream is an excellent scary movie. I give it two thumbs up and five stars up! It begins when the quiet town of Woodsborow is woken up by a killer!!!! Can Sidney save her life? Well, now it is a screenplay!!! The complete script is in this book and it was very, very well written by Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson.

Summary: The First Rule...
Comment: The team of director Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson, certainly struck box office gold with the 1997 horror film, simply titled Scream. Starring a hip and hot ensemble, the film revitalized the ailing horror film genre. There's no doubt that there many components that contributed to the film's success-but for me, the primary reason has to be the script.
The story pays homage to the genre, while at the same time breaks every horror film cliche and convention, by turning the predictable on its ear. Williamson's love and knowledge of scary flicks is clear from the opening scene. The rest of it is filled with frights, humor, and a bit of satire. The best thing is that the screenplay never really descends into outright "spoof" territory. The very fact of the film's positive reception shocked even the studio, who took a huge gamble on an untried writer, when it bought the premise of Scream
The screenplay is laid out in the book, using the same format, that's standard for both film and television shows. The book has a gratified director, Wes Craven, penning an introduction; While writer Williamson talks about the story's genesis and path to the big screen. The book also includes a series of black and white stills from the set of Scream 2, which quickly went into prduction, following the first film.
Even if you own the film and it's part of your cinema collection, the script book is still recommended, as either light fun, or for anyone who is into how the films are made. The book has 198 pages, and is "illustrated" with photos from Scream, taken in black and white.
