Summary: Wonderful wonderful book!
Comment: We purchased this for our 15 month old daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it! She's already a big fan of the touch and feel books (usually the DK line) but this was even nicer than the previous ones we own. Each page (well, two pages) features a room of Violet's house with three or four different items to touch and feel. As well, it provides tons of different textures--from a kitchen sponge (really a sponge) to a furry teddy bear to sticky finger paints and even a mint-smelling toothpaste! I've been a little disappointed lately with the touch and feel books we own as they all seem to have the same couple of textures in different colors (some even have the same texture repeated in a 5 page book). The text is nice as well, simple rhymes encouraging the child to find the different items to touch and feel.

Overall, we are quite happy with the purchase. While the size of the DK books is easier for our daughter to hold on her own, the content of this book more than made up for the larger size. We chose to take it on our vacation with us and it kept her amused on the plane for quite a long time. We are fans of the Baby Einstein products already and this book was no exception.
