Summary: Fascinating, in-depth look at the good and bad of the FBI!
Comment: Through numerous anecdotes, Kessler paints a complete picture of the FBI and its operations. He dissects the agency division by division, and for some of the larger RA's city by city. He does an excellent job of describing not just the mechanics of the agency, but also the politics and personalities that have made it what it is today. Probably the most even-handed approach you could ever find, he tells the stories of the agency's failure's and successes and paints a very complete picture.
I've read (listened to) this book and "Inside the CIA" and can now say that I'm a bona fide Kessler fan. The only drawback is that I'm likely to get into a wreck as I get so engrossed in the stories. Highly recommended.
