Summary: A Disappointing Dictionary in Swedish
Comment: I bought this book for my family as my wife is Swedish and we are raising our kids in both languages. I returned it as the book really didn't have a Swedish to English section that actually had all the 28 letters of the Swedish alphabet. The phoenetic pronunciations were difficult to decipher and did not seem correct as I had learned them from a native speaker. The content was poorly organized, and the illustrations were a boring, 50's, retro sytle that did not grab my attention and were less likely to interest my kids. A bit disappointing in all. I might be acceptable as a way to introduce kids to Swedish if you have no previous exposure to the language. I prefer the DK publishing Inc., (My First Word Book)photographic style for a Children's Dictionary. I wish they would publish one in English and Swedish.
