Comment: the second edition of the manual is the work of three big maestros. the first chapter is an overview which is about man and machine. thereafter follow chapters on acquisition of images, transthoracic and trans esophageal. the two chapters on hemodynamic assessment and vulvular heart diseases are astonishingly lucid. other chapters are fundamentally excellent.the book concludes on an all important chapter on correlative echocardiography.in toto, this manual is small in size but large in authority.
