Summary: Waste of time!
Comment: A waste of time for anyone married more than 5 years! If you have only a double digit IQ perhaps you should read this book. It is easy to read, but the advice given is nothing more than common sense. (Teach your mother-in-law to walk ten miles/day and after a week she will be 70 miles away). Funny-- 25 years ago!
The authors often refer to the fact that men and women are different --- dah! That is why we are attracted to each other! They cite examples to illustrate a point, sometimes helpfull but usually quite mundane.
This MIGHT be a good book to give to newly weds!

Summary: If you like gender roles...
Comment: If you like identifying yourself with the gender role that society has decided best defines you, you will love this sexist and essentializing book about nonsense. Let's face it, women starting thinking about and doing things other than shopping, cooking, and taking care of the emotionally illiterate men in their lives a long, long time ago. Now, women work outside the home, have sex with other women, and YES! they even have complex mental abilities!!! Come to think of it, it seems the emotional lives of men actually extend beyond their remote controls, cars, and penises. Let's get out of the 1950s context, and start living in the present. Women and men cannot be reduced to stereotypes; we are actually extremely complex. If you think outdated stereotypes about gender roles can help your relationship, you have more problems than you can imagine.
