Summary: One of the best books I've read in a long time!
Comment: I only got this book because I was waiting for a book to be released from another series I am reading, but not I am so glad that I found it! I couldn't put this book down. After I read book #1 The Shunning I went right back to the library and picked up this one. I couldn't wait to read more about Katie. I have recently been reading a series based on the Amish by Lurlene McDaniel. I think this series will definately equal or top the series by Lurlene McDaniel. Just release book #3 soon. Please!!

Summary: An excellent book. A cliffhanger of sorts.
Comment: When I bought these books as a set from Guideposts, it seems like I took a chance. But then I have wanted to read about the Amish. And I'm glad that I did. When I finished The Shunning, I could not wait to start reading The Confession, and then The Reckoning. The Confession taught me to find where your heart is at, even if it means that you have to make sacrifices. In all, it took me four days to read all three books. If there are more fictional books about the Amish, I like to read them. However, I would like to close by saying hello to the Amish and God Bless Them. They are wonderful people.

Summary: A dramatic sequel
Comment: This is the sequel to "The Shunning" and it picks up slightly before the other one finishes, but from a different view point.

This is Katie's/Katherine's story of how she finds her birth mother and the obstacles she faces. I thought that there could be a little bit more conflict and maybe a little less preaching in this book.

I liked this book, but I don't think it had the emotional impact of the first one. But it was a fast read and an enjoyable one.

I would recommend this book.
